Résumé
My research focuses on two main issues:
(1) The distribution, ecology, and control of invasive plant
species in natural areas in Israel;
(2) The sustainable management of planted pine forests in the
Mediterranean region of Israel, with a special emphasis on their
transition from actual coniferous mono-specific stands to pines
and oaks mixed forest structures.
I conduct ecological impact assessments
for Israeli companies who are producing environment impact assessments.
I am working as a consultant
in ecology issues for the Department of open areas at the Israel
Ministry of Environment.
I am also teaching ecology at
the Geography department of the Liphschitz College in Jerusalem.
Between Feb. 2000 to Feb. 2004,
I worked as a lecturer & researcher at the Geography Department
of the Tel-Aviv University, where I taught biogeography, ecology
and geography of man-vegetation interactions in the Mediterranean
basin.
I am currently completing a post-doctorate
degree at the Department of Natural Resources, Institute of Field
and Garden Crops, Agricultural Research Organization, P. O. Box
6, Bet Dagan, 50250 Israel, under the supervision of Prof. Avi
